11+ admissions

 

Applications for admission to the school at the start of Year 7 are handled on behalf of the Governing Body by Buckinghamshire County Council as part of its co-ordinated admissions scheme. If you are interested in making an application, full details can be found by downloading the Guide for Parents. All enquiries about 11+ admissions should be directed to the Admissions Team at Buckinghamshire County Council. For more information call 01296 395000 option 3 or email or click on the following contact link: www.buckscc.gov.uk/contactadmissions. Parents who live in Buckinghamshire will receive information about the 11+ process, through their primary school. Parents who live out of county eg in Hertfordshire, London Boroughs etc should be aware that they need to register their son or daughter for the 11+ test at an earlier date - please contact Buckinghamshire County Council or check their website for exact dates.

 

Joining Chesham Grammar School in Year 7 - information from Bucks County Council

If you would like your child to go to a Buckinghamshire grammar school they need to take the Transfer Tests.  Parents should register via the Bucks County Council website.

Parents should read the 'Transfer Testing Process' leaflet and 'How to Register' guide before they register: both are available on the website.

 

Joining Chesham Grammar School in Years 8 and 9

Late Transfer Testing (entry to Year 8 and 9 September 2017)

Please note that CGS is currently full in all Key Stage 3 year groups.  Pupils who qualify for a place as a result of late transfer testing will therefore be placed on a waiting list in accordance with our over subscription criteria which can be found on our website.    

The Late Transfer process will be administered on the school’s behalf by Bucks County Council who operate a co-ordinated admissions scheme.  All those interested in joining CGS in Year 8 or 9 in September 2017 for the academic year 2017/2018 should make application directly to Bucks County Council.

Year 10 entry

If you wish to apply for a place in Year 10, please contact the school admissions department. 

The deadline for registration for any of the tests will be January 31st (or the next working day if that is a weekend) of the same year as stated in our Admissions Policy.

Sixth form

Applications for September 2017 can be made following our Open Evening on 3rd November 2016.

Open Evenings

Our Open Evenings for Year 7 entry take place 20th and 21st September 2016 for September 2017 entry. We are very happy to answer any queries and will direct your question to the most appropriate person.
